Green Tea Cupcakes!

I made these for a potluck over the weekend
and there wasn't a crumb left!
These dainty little darlings are delectable! They taste a lot like green tea ice cream, which I adore.

I cut the sugar to down to 1/2 cup and garnished with a sprig of fresh mint and some pre-made edible frosting flowers. The Matcha Green Tea powder was hard to find, but it was so worth the effort- there really isn't a substitute for the flavor. I finally found mine at an Asian market (the Pacific Ocean Market, in Broomfield CO), and the recipe from the Post Punk Kitchen says that Whole Foods carries it too, and if you're the patient type, you could likely order it online.
